I Will Not Marginalise Any Section Of The Country And Won't Break Fast With Saraki - Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari has assured that, he will not marginalise or discriminate against any section of the country during his tenure.
The President, who received constant criticism from the Southerners over his appointments claiming that the North has the largest share of top appointments in the country since the start of his administration.
Buhari made the promise at the palace of the Emir of Daura, Katsina State, Farouk Farouk, where he was hosted to the breaking of the Ramadan fast.
The Punch Newspaper reported that, 14 of the nation’s 17 security agencies, majority of whom were appointed by Buhari, are currently being headed by northerners with only three security agencies headed by southerners.
Buhari, who spent the weekend at his hometown in Daura, Kastina state, told his kinsmen during the breaking of fast that no action will be taken for or against any section of the country on the basis of prejudice.
Under my watch, no section of the country would either be discriminated against or marginalised,” the President told his kinsmen who graciously welcomed him
He further assured Nigerians that he would remain honest, fair and just in leading the
country towards prosperity. He also called for the support and understanding of Nigerians as he strives to rebuild the country fairly, honestly and responsibly.
Meanwhile, the President, who had been hosting several groups to the breaking of fast at the State House in Abuja, has ruled out the possibility of hosting the leadership of the National Assembly during the ritual.
Two weeks ago the President was scheduled to host the Senate President and the leadership of the national assembly to Iftar, as the breaking of fast is called, but it was called off a few hours before it was planned to hold.
The presidential spokesperson, Garba Shehu told the Punch that Buhari would no longer be able to meet the National Assembly leaders before the end of Ramadan.
Shehu said, “You will recall that the President spent most of the days in the Ramadan month outside the country.
“By the time he returned, a schedule had already been made for him on those he would be receiving daily.
“On the day fixed for the National Assembly leaders, most of them had prior engagements and so the event could not hold. It is difficult to begin to adjust the schedule when others fixed for other days have been duly informed. It is not by anybody’s making.”
