Heart Problem Forces 22 Year Old Real Madrid Star To Early Retirement

Young Real Madrid player,Lucas Silva has confirmed his retirement from football due to heart problems at the tender age of 23.

The Brazilian born star was on the verge of a move to Sporting Lisbon, but the deal couldn't materialized after he failed a medical. Madrid and Sporting Lisbon had reportedly agreed terms for a season-long loan deal, but the heart problem was detected in Silva’s second round of tests during his medical.

Silva appeared to confirm the news on social media when he wrote: “I fought the good fight, I finished my career, I have kept the faith.”





Silva joined Real Madrid for £10m in 2014 and was viewed as a long-term solution to their defensive midfield options but struggled to break into the first-team and was loaned out to Marseille where he also struggled to make the first team and the Ligue 1 club were said to be “extremely disappointed” with his level of performances.

Touted as one of the emerging talents in Europe, Silva has been forced into retirement at a brutally young age but there is nothing that can be done when it comes to heart problems.
