Alex Fergusson Declares Support For Mourinho's Decision

Former Man Utd manager, Sir Alex Fergusson, has declared his support for the decision made by new Manager, Jose Moourinho, to bring in his own trusted assistant, instead of continuing with Ryan Giggs.

Fergusson said Mourinho's decision to choose 'his own man', Rui Faria was not a bad decision, as working with someone you trust and know is better. 

His words:
 
You have got to have, in your assistant, someone you have trusted all your life," he told BBC Sport.

When I came to United, I brought Archie Knox because he was a valuable person for me. I trusted him 100%. Jose Mourinho has had his assistant for years and, quite rightly, has stuck by his own man.

If Jose hadn't had an assistant, I know he would have taken Ryan.

Ryan Giggs has spent 29 years as part of the Man Utd family, and having become a legend in the club, Fergusson believes he should move on, also saying Ryan has got the mettle to lead a management team.
