We all have those foods and fruits that we enjoy eating, we have favourite foods and favourites fruits but do we know how those foods and fruits affect our body, do we know when we should or should not eat certain foods or fruits even though we love them, are we eating them right?
Here is a list of things we’ve all been guilty of eating wrongly and reasons why we shouldn’t eat them just the way we do.
- Rice is best eaten for lunch, metabolism is higher during the day, this gives ample chance to use up the carbohydrate avoid rice at night it’ll just increase body.
- Milk is better taken at night, it soothes the body and helps get a better night’s rest, in the morning it should be followed by a lot of physical activities as it can be heavy to digest and end up messing up our eating schedule.
- Apple peel contains fibre pectin, in the morning, it can be a good friend of ours help in bowel movement, prevent constipation, and eliminate carcinogens but in the evening/ night hmm the same pectin might become a burden to the digestive system the organic acid will increase acid level in the stomach and then lead to discomfort.
- Banana in the noon time can help in digestion. It works as natural antacid and soothes heartburn but at night it would in some cases lead to cold, if eaten on an empty stomach, the magnesium it contains will upset the stomach.
- Lentils and beans that are high fibrous foods and help in digestion and reduction of cholesterol more so, they aid in getting good sleep at night meanwhile, eating high fibrous foods in the morning or day time might not go so well it’ll increase appetite therefore, causing binge eating
- Walnuts are wonderful in the evenings they contain loads of beneficial compounds like, omega-3, fats and antioxidants, they’ve also been proven to improve brain health now, in the morning, noon or night, it might not function as well as it would in the evening.
- Meat is hard to digest and contains high protein, helps in gaining physical strength and improves concentration if eating during the day, at night it might just weigh too much and not digest fast so an uncomfortable night is sure.
- Cheese is better eaten early in the morning, for vegetarians, cheese is a great substitute for meat, if eaten appropriately, it’ll prevent weight gain and bloating but at night, being that cheese is heavy to digest it’ll lead to indigestion and fat
