'Why I Can No Longer Visit My Village Because Of What Jonathan Did' - Oshiomhole Tells Fashola

The blame game in APC camp continues as Edo state Governor, Adams Oshiomhole has accused the Goodluck Jonathan administration for the eyesore state of the Benin-Ekpoma-Auchi-Okene highway, saying he cannot visit his village because of this.

He made this statement on Tuesday, July 12, while speaking to the Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Mr Babatunde Fashola (SAN), who visited him at the Government House, Benin.

According to him,
“Right now, I have difficulty going home to my village because of what your predecessor did,”

“I have tried to explain it and it is important we explain it, not because anybody believes in what they call blame game, but the truth is that if the road wasn’t touched at all, it would have been better than it is now.

“I did argue then that what they were doing was going to create more problems. The truth is that they have left the road worse off than it was before the haphazard dualisation which is now creating a lot of problems,”  he said.

Oshiomhole added that if he did not discuss the road with Fashola, the Edo people would think he failed to take advantage of the privileged relationship he shared with the former governor of Lagos state.
