The Crisis In PDP Is In 'The Hand Of God' - Governor Adams Oshiomhole

Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State has described the current crisis in the camp of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) as God's handiwork.

Addressing some Muslim faithful on Wednesday, July 6, in celebrating Eid-el Fitri, the Governor said the "hand of God" brought confusion into the party that grounded the country in its 16-year rule.

“Today, you can see confusion inside the party that brought Nigeria to its knees. Can you not see the hand of God? They said they would rule for 60 years. Now 16 years later, they are out,” Oshiomhole said.

He alleged that PDP leaders stole the funds earmarked for the war against the Boko Haram sect.
He said: “At a time when the whole country was afraid and being attacked, both Muslims and Christians were being attacked by Boko Haram, even the money that was voted by the National Assembly to secure Muslims, to secure Christians, to secure our country, against these hooligans (insurgents), this money was stolen and shared by the PDP leaders.”

While assuring that Nigeria will be great again, the governor commended President Muhammadu Buhari for his efforts in recovering some of the funds shared by the PDP leaders.

Oshiomhole urged Nigerians not to relent in praying for Nigeria, stressing that the country would regain prosperity.
