Messi Will Be Back To The National Team - Argentina President Confident After Their Phone Chat

Lionel Messi decision to quit the Argentinian national team after a disappointing three straight major final defeats has received several reactions from bigwigs in his country and the rest of the world.

Argentina president Mauricio Macri is the latest to lend his voice in the Messi's national team return campaign as he has assured that the superstar will wear the national jersey again.

The five time Ballon Do'r winner decision has prompted an outpouring of emotions and support for the 29-year-old, with fans across the world, including Argentine legend Diego Maradona, pleading with him to rescind the decision

But President Macri has assured that the Barcelona star will don his country’s colours again after a telephone conversation.

“I talked to him on the phone; I’m sure he will come back,” Macri told CNBC.

“He’s the best in the world.”

Argentina haven’t won any major international trophy at senior level in 23 years, and are hoping Messi will lead them to the 2018 World Cup glory in Russia.
