Cristiano Ronaldo Out For 5 Months?

This news wont't go down well with Real Madrid fans as star player Cristiano Ronaldo is said to have partly-torn ACL and maybe out for up to five months according to reports.
The 31-year-old suffered the injury in the final of the Euro 2016 after West Ham United midfielder Dimitri Payet clattered into his left knee during the final game between Portugal and host France.
That ensured Ronaldo played only 25 minutes and was substituted but his tears soon turned to joy as his teammates snatched an extra-time time winner through Eder solo effort that beat Hugo Lloris from 25yards.
According to the report, Portuguese doctors have suggested that Ronaldo has partly-torn ACL after first tests, which could see the three-time Ballon d’Or winner ruled out for up to four or five months.
Ronaldo who won the silver ball at the 2016 European Championship said after lifting the trophy: “I’m so happy, very happy. This was something I have wanted for a long time now, ever since [Euro] 2004 [defeat to Greece in the final]. I asked God to give me another chance. The Portuguese people deserve this, our players deserved this.
“We beat France and I’m delighted. This is one of the happiest moments in my career. I’ve always said I wanted to win a trophy with the national team and make history. And I did it. Thank God, things went well for us.
“I’d like to thank my teammates, our coach, our wider team in this Euro, the Portuguese people and all the ex-pats who were always with us, cheering for us from the beginning. This is a unique moment for me, for all the Portuguese people and it’s unforgettable.”
The latest setback means Ronaldo will miss the start of Real Madrid’s season in the La Liga, opening defense of the UEFA Champions League and the European Super Cup meeting with Sevilla.
