The Psychic Attachment To The Genitals

When one is reading Sigmund Freud's statement on psychosexual development, there develops a phobia for such kind of statements and people, but on close analysis one realizes that he is telling the truth about the whole thing.

Also, we would realize sub-consciously that the psychologically attachment to one's genitals does not end at childhood, but grows into adulthood.

Freud explained psychosexual to be that personality that develops through stages and have to do with one's sexuality. Being basically a way of explaining personality, resting on the idea that one goes through phases: infant-childhood-adulthood, in which one is basically fixated on certain body parts.

The fixation is undoubtedly on the genitals. 

This trend, although gradually fading is still evident among many people, and sometimes it is that psychologically attachment that grows with the person into adulthood.

Sometimes, we relate that attitude with social awareness - more like a habit developed from the need to personally advertise that one has 'got it in there' and wants the world to know.

Not only guys are guilty of this phenomenon, as girls too also want to advertise their 'endowments' more subconsciously out of fashion instead of the need to engage in sexual activities. 

This attitude is mostly unconsciously activated outside the house, for guys; and 'fashionately' activated by girls when they think about going outside the house.

Or would you explain why a guy would be holding his crotch when he is on a short? Or a girl deliberately wearing a blouse that covers little or nothing of her breast?

The psychic genital attachment is a deep and enduring emotional bond that connects one's psyche to his/her and improves narcissistic tendencies.  

Wouldn't you ask: why that attachment to only one part of the body, especially when there more important parts?
