Shocker! Live Grenade Removed From Soldiers Head
Doctors in a hospital in Colombia have pulled out a live grenade out of a soldiers head after the explosive was fired at him in a military accident.
The device was removed outside the Military Hospital in Colombia's capital city, Bogota amid fears that it might detonate.
The local authorities are still investigating how about the grenade got into the face of the soldier - Luis Eduardo Perez Arango.
Some reports say the live grenade got into his head through a misuse of a heavy fire weapon that accidentally discharged, hitting the officer and gluing into his head.
The Chief surgeon, William Sanchez said:
It was a decisive moment, logically one of stress and uncertainty, but there was no other option than to push on to save the life of the patient, even praying and asking God not to let a bigger tragedy happen.
We now have an established protocol. We logically did it outside the
hospital, because if it were to activate it, it needed to be somewhere it would
have the least impact.
The Soldier is alive and recuperating from the ‘attack’.
