Rio 2016: NOC Denies Team Nigeria Free Condoms

The Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC) has adviced any member of Team Nigeria contingent wishing to satisfy his or her emotional needs to be ready to rely on the protective condoms provided by the tournament organisers as the committee will not be providing any for them.

The President of the committee, Engineer Habu Gumel, handed the warning while unveiling the official online medium for the Games, Team Naija, in Abuja.

Gumel argued that it is the responsibility of the tournament organizers to provide condoms for the participants in the Games.

According to him: “We have no plan to travel to Rio with condoms because it is the responsibility of the organizers not the NOC to supply them to everybody in Rio during the Games.”
