PDP Prays For Buhari's Quick Recovery

The opposition party, PDP, which might have recovered from its leadership crisis, may have bounced back and is offering prayers for Buhari, who is in London for an ear problem.

Led by the Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, and so many other members, the PDP prayed for the quick recovery of the president and also that he succeeds in all his endeavours.

When asked why, the PDP caretaker committee chairman, Senator Makarfi said:

As opposition, it doesn't mean that we are heartless or inconsiderate.

We pray for our nation, we pray for our leaders. I am sure our National Assembly members cooperate with the federal government when there is need to cooperate. 

I am sure our governors cooperate with the federal government in the council of state meetings when there is a need to cooperate, but that doesn't mean that we don't have differences.

That doesn't mean we should not advertise our differences so that Nigerians can make a choice between us and those in government.

This is the first time the PDP would be doing something positive towards the APC-led government. Hopefully, they are saying the truth about throwing off their differences and cooperating when there is a need to.
