Born and bred in Ajengunle Lagos, John Odafe Asiemo popularly called Daddy Showkey, is a veteran Nigerian musician who made his way into the Nigerian music industry in the early 90s and was one of the most successful musicians of that time.

Daddy Showkey was part of a band that included Daddy Fresh, Cashman Davis and Sexy Pretty know as the Pretty Busy Boys.

Daddy Showkey got married to his wife, Sandra in 1997 who she happens to be the cousin to Daddy Fresh and together they have four children.
