Nigerians React As Buhari Cancels Ogoni Trip 

When Nigerians expected the President to be fully present as the launching of the Ogoni clean up exercise, the presidency cancelled the trip but are yet to state the reason(s). 

Instead the president gave the Vice President the mandate to represent at the launching.

This cancellation came ahead of the threat from the Niger Delta Avengers that dared the president. They said Buhari would be killed if he arrived at Ogoni land, and some Nigerians have connected that threat to the cancellation of his trip.

But is that the case? We should rather wait for a statement from the presidency stating why, even if they might give Nigerians lies.

However, we must note that this is the second time Buhari is canceling a local trip. Is it that our President does not fancy local trips?

The most important aspect of the Ogoni land clean-up is d actual project/clean-up itself and not d presence or face of PMB in Ogoni land.
