The Real Madrid footballer, has been in low favour with Zinedane Zidane since Zidane's joined the club as coach.

According to Spanish media, Don Balon, a move to United could be a deal Mourinho might want as he has been given a £200 million transfer kitty.

It is suggested that his Madrid will be put up for rent while he house hunts in Manchester for a new house.

Rodriguez shares the same agent as Mourinho - Jorge Mendes - who could facilitate a move.

However, the Madrid star earlier said he would prefer to stay at Bernabeu.

He said:

I want to be able to stay at a big club like Real Madrid.

That has always been my dream.
