Fun Friday: How Lagosians Live Up The Weekend

The people of Lagos are known for their struggle, they are always hustling, trying to make ends meet. Lagos is in fact one of the busiest cities Nigeria but then, how do they enjoy their free time, how is it that their weekends are not wasted and why is it that this same hustling city is of the best places to have fun?

Let's start from Friday. Lagosians don't joke with faith....when you see the way our Muslim brothers and sisters storm out of the mosque, you be like men.... this is God at work oo... but, it's weekend guys who wouldn't want to than God for a week well hustled.

On Saturdays there are a number of things Lagosians to do. From weddings and mind you, they must have been preparing for that wedding for months, to Owambes whereby, they got the invite from a friend of a friend of a friend of.... well, in other wards they don't know who the celebrant is but, they will dress better than half of the people at the gathering besides, those delicacies served in parties don't come everyday. That's not all, young Lagosians know all the places to visit too.

 During their weekend break, Elegushi is never too far, they meet up with friends at the beach and enjoy themselves, there are also different private beaches for the rich kids in other parts of the island just in case Elegushi is over crowed.

clubs welcome a lot of them on Saturday nights when they go out and flex the night away, and when there is a concert don't expect Lagosians to keep it for the JJCs it doesn't work like that.

Then, on Sundays just like Fridays when Muslims go to mosques, our Christian brothers and sisters also go to church while the Muslims go for "asalatu", putting God first before they start another week of hustling.
