Facebook Deletes Trans-feminine Post On The Orlando Attack
Facebook is being slammed for being rude to a certain trans-feminine whose posts Facebook deleted twice already.
The post was shared thousands of times on the network until Facebook deleted it. The company also banned the rapper from the network and sent him a notification that included a warning about transmitting underage porn.He wrote;
The post soon gained likes and began to spread so much and was going to start an argument as a Facebook user replied this to the post; “Sharing all your stuff because your words are powerful and need to be spread. Is that cool?” just then, the post disappeared.
After the post went off, this message appeared on His screen; “We removed the post below because it doesn’t follow the Facebook Community Standards", he took a screen shot of the message sent to him.
He reposed the message to Facebook with a caption; "are you FUCKING KIDDING ME?" then, posted it on other social medial apps and was re-tweeted more than 500 times and liked more than 400.
Facebook also blocked him from using Facebook messenger sending him a notification that read; “In many countries, it’s illegal to make, share or knowingly have images of anyone under the age of 18 involved in sexually explicit acts or behavior. This includes nudity.”
Eventually, after his frustrations were shared thousands of times on Twitter and Tumblr, Michete’s original Facebook post was restored.
Facebook said that: “The post was removed in error and restored as soon as we were able to investigate. Our team processes millions of reports each week, and we sometimes get things wrong. We’re very sorry about this mistake.”
