Another Coach, Amodu Shuaib, Reported Dead in Benin

There are reports that the Nigerian sports fraternity has been thrown into another round of mourning just days after the shocking death of former Super Eagles coach and captain, Stephen Okechukwu Keshi, as another former coach, Amodu Shuaibu was said to have also died in Benin, the Edo State capital.

Reports say his remains have been deposited at the Stella Obasanjo Women and Children Hospital in Benin.
A close family source said that he had complained of chest pain, before giving up. Commissioner for Information in Edo State, Kashim Afegbua Was said to have also confirmed the death.


Amodu who was working at the Nigeria Football Federation Technical Department, has been sick and recently declined the Super Eagles job due to ill health after Sunday Oliseh’s resignation.
