Wish I Have Honest People To Work With In Africa - Dencia

The self appointed Queen of Matamba and the inventor and no 1 fan of her skin whitening cream, Dencia, has taken to Instagram to express her frustration with her inability to get honest people to work with in her desire to help Africa. She posted this in response to the current deaths recorded in Zanzibar as a result of a cholera out break (read below). What we don't know is how exactly Dencia means as there are very many reputable NGOs all around Africa. There's at least a Red Cross in every country. Dencia, if you want to help just help, contact the ICRC via https://www.icrc.org/

Just a few things happening in Africa. When I read these stories I wish I had honest people aka a team I could travel with atleast 4 times a year to go help my people. #Africa #IAmPraying#ItWillGetBetter A cholera outbreak in Zanzibar has killed at least 45 people since March, a health official has said.

About 3,000 people had been admitted to hospital with cholera, added Muhammed Dahoma, the director of disease prevention at the health ministry.

The Government has now taken steps to stem the outbreak, including banning the sale of food and juices in open areas

Nearly 260,000 people have fled Burundi since unrest erupted a year ago, with the number expected to rise to 330,000 by the end of the year "unless a political solution is found and a descent into civil war averted", the United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) has said.

Many of those who have crossed to neighbouring states have complained of torture, sexual violence, arbitrary detention, intimidation, forced recruitment by militia, killings and extortion, it said in a statement.

Tanzania had the biggest influx of refugees - an average of 30 Burundians entered the country every day and the Nyarugusu camp was now one of the largest refugee camps in the world with 140,540 refugees, the UNHCR added

the coast of Ghana's Volta region have been destroyed by tidal waves in the last week. This elementary school used to be miles away from the shore some years ago but it is now lost to the sea.

There were 54 children in the school but right now they don't have classes. Their education hangs in the balance.

Sea erosion is wreaking havoc on villages along West Africa's shore lines, threatening whole communities.
People in the community told BBC if nothing is done their towns will be completely wiped off the map pretty soon.
