Madonna, Stevie Wonder Pay Tribute To Prince

Bringing you the best moments from within the 2016 Bill Board awards in case you missed.

Though a lot of people didn’t like that Madonna would be paying tribute to Prince at the Billboard Music Awards this year, the phenomenal musician went on to give a beautiful onstage performance and was surprisingly, joined by Stevie Wonder and together they sang Prince’s "Purple Rain."

Purple spotlights went round the arena as the crowd waved illuminated purple wristbands in time with the song, with Wonder leading a gospel-inflected a cappella breakdown of the chorus as the cameras panned to audience members, many were in tears.

And at the end, Stevie thanked Madonna, Madonna thanked Stevie, and then said, "And most of all, thank you Prince Rogers Nelson, for all that you have given us."  What a perfect ending to a tribute.
