Granit Xhaka Spotted In Arsenal’s New Kit

The British media is covered with pictures of the Swiss star, 23, snapped wearing the Gunners’ new kit, which has not officially been unveiled yet.

Arsenal has been negotiating with Borussia Monchengladbach for months now over a transfer for the £25million midfielder.

Xhaka flew into London and underwent a medical at the Emirates yesterday and the club is expected him to sign at the club within 72 hours.

Manchester City were also in the hunt for Bundesliga ace but the pictures suggest that the Manchester team has missed out on its target.

Xhaka recently claimed he wished to have his future sorted before Euro 2016 kicks off.

He has been named in Vladimir Petkovic’s provisional 28-man Switzerland squad ahead of next month’s tournament in France.

Xhaka said: “I would like to know before the European Championship, where I play next year. I do not know if there is an offer.”

“I do not know if there is an offer. I’ve had four beautiful years at Monchengladbach and owe the club a lot. If it is true what the media write, we sit down together and decide.”

Mikel Arteta played his last Arsenal game against Aston Villa on Sunday, while Tomas Rosicky and Mathieu Flamini are also on their ways out of the club.

Wenger has made his intentions clear for next season as he prepares a bid to make Juventus striker Alvaro Morata his highest paid player on £155,000-a-week.

The Gunners have already bid for Bolton defender Rob Holding.

And a sensational double swoop for Leicester heroes Riyad Mahrez and N’Golo Kante is also believed to be on the cards this summer.
