Fayose Declares War On Fulani Herdsmen

Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose, who has since Buhari’s appointment in 2015 been a regular critic of the Buhari administration has warned Fulani herdsmen to steer clear of Ekiti state or risk the lives of their cows.

He reiterated that Nigerians needed to defend themselves against terror especially the onset of suspected herdsmen flooding villages and killing villagers in recent times.

This warning was given by Fayose as a gathering of Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) in Ibadan.

The governor said the herdsmen may have changed their identity from Boko Haram to Fulani Herdsmen, and that Nigerians seriously need to be extra careful.

 “It seems Boko Haram has changed identity to herdsmen now. You as journalists must speak out, the killings are under reported. Is it about the mass burial in Kaduna State, the Agatu saga or the recent killing which happened on Monday? Ask questions,” he said.

In response to his constant attack on Buhari, she said he had nothing against Buhari and that they had a grandfather-like relationship.

He only said that criticism was a way of ensuring economic and political stability of a nation.
