UI Students Halt Academic Activities
The students of the University of Ibadan have halted academic activities in the institution, over the victimization of a student that took part in a protest organized by the students.
Aside that, the students had decried lack of power supply and water in the school premises and the lack-lustre attitude of the school’s management.
In response, the management added an extra year to the 500L Engineering student, Michael Tunji Epeti for leading students to protest the lack of power and water supply in the school.
The students went this morning, shut the school gate while the security men just watched them.
The management have since after the protest shut down the school in what as an attempt to control the problem, as many of the protesters were from outside the school. This was released to that effect:
