Nigerians In Diaspora Call For Saraki's Removal

Nigerians In Diaspora Call For Saraki's Removal

The Nigerians in Diaspora Monitoring Group (NDMG), have called on the Senate President, who has been standing trial before the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) to resign within the next ten days or risk being forced out.

This demand comes from a group that has seen over 1,000 Nigerians in the Diaspora joining, and are showing severe interest in the spate of corrupt politicians that have been found guilty of mismanagement of funds and office.

The NDMG plan on having a walk from No 1 Northumberland Avenue to NO 9, where the Nigerian High Commission is situated. They are to sit for one hour discussing the removal of indicted politicians, with the Senate President’s case in particular interest.

An electronic copy of the speech to be delivered at the sit out titled: “10 Reasons Why Bukola Saraki Must Resign as Senate President within the Next 10 Days,” says that the integrity of Senate president has been stained beyond recognition with the endless scandals around current holder.

The speech, to be presented by Engr. Onyilo Adeka, said there are many reasons why Saraki, whom he accused of ensconcing corruption, must immediately resign as the president of the Senate of Federal Republic of Nigeria.

The Speech highlights several accusations against the Senate President and says they are too lengthy for him to remain as the Senate President.

Ali Ndume might not quite agree with NDMG as he stated some time earlier this year that Senators asking for Saraki’s removal should stop. His words:

“PDP should not play God. It is God that gave power to Senate President Saraki and it is only God that can take it from him; only God will know who will take it from him, not even a party, not even the PDP can do that, God knows who will take it from him, not PDP”.

However, it is said that was directed at the PDP, but Ndume main reaction is to the removal of the embattled Senate President.
