Nigerian Football Player Dies Of Malaria

John George, one of Nigerian’s premier league players has been confirmed dead in Kaduna after a brief illness suspected to be Malaria. In a news report by Mbum Ferdinand, the Mighty Jets media speaker in a news statement where it was stated that his last game was a home draw between LOBI STARS and KANO PILLARS at 2-2. He had been excused by the club to return to Kaduna for treatments as he had been through recurring malaria illness.

The player was said to have played for PLATEAU UNITED FC before joining MIGHTY JET FC.

Managements of MIGHTY JET and LOBI STARS are to meet with the families of the former player to discuss hiss burial.

George was on loan to professional league side, LOBI STARS FC and MAKURDI and a prominent member of the first team before his demise.
