Mallam Yankee and Comedian Gordons Battle Fraud Claims

Kehinde Adegbite known as Mallam Yankee and chairman of the Bank Club, Abuja has accused well-known comedian Gordon of being a fraud star. Speaking with Daily Star, the club chairman claimed to have paid Gordons the sum of 400,000 naira to come perform at an event of which the comedian never showed up and refused to return the money holding it back arrogantly.

During the interview he was reported to have said “Gordons is indebted to me at the moment. Yes, he owes me and it is not the first time. He owes so many people as well. He will collect the money and give you attitude problem, yet he does not have means to pay back. When he finally wants to manage to pay, he pays in bits like up to 4-5 times. If he had money, why would he not pay at once? Yet he will be bragging unnecessarily. He paid half of the money after several months and he was arrogant about it. This is fraud at the highest level."

He also stated that apart from the money the comedian owes him, he has no problems with, Gordons is broke and has no endorsement deals.

Mallam Yankee went on saying that if he wanted to do a show, he knows the right people to contact adding that payment wouldn’t be an issue since others don’t give issues but Gordon, he said has so much bad attitude. He said the comedian is rude. Again in his own words, “money he doesn’t have, his career is not growing and he doesn’t know how to talk to people with respect. So how can you grow?” People like Gordons, he said, will collect money but won’t perform for you and still give attitude.

Mallam Yankee further talked about how Gordons attitude has kept him from getting endorsement deals unlike younger comedians who have already started securing endorsement deals adding that the comedian’s attitude will prevent him from referring Gordons to others for shows saying, “I will tell them you are a thief openly and that they should not do anything with you. That’s why I say I am the wrongest person to collect money from and not turn up for the event.”

While speaking with Gordons it was reported that he agreed to have collected the money and didn’t make the event but had returned half of the money, he claimed to have been called for another show (night of a thousand laughs) he said though his flight was to leave for Abuja around 9:30am, getting to the airport at 8am only to discover that the flight had left around 7am and he couldn’t get another flight.
