ICPC Seizes 61 Houses From Female Civil Servant
Nigeria's Independent Corrupt Practices and Related Offenses Commission says it recently seized 61 houses and other landed properties from a Federal Civil servant whose name the commission didi not give to the press as the case is already in court. In a bid to expose corrupt civil servants, the commission also informed the press that it will soon start some sort of Transparency International type corruption index by publishing the list of the most corrupt Ministries, Departments and Agencies of government.
These revelations were made known to the training participants of the National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies at the institute's Abuja headquarters last Friday by the commission's Chairman, Mr Ekpo Nta while delivering a paper titled, 'The Role of the ICPC in the War Against Corruption: Mandates, Strategies and Challenges." He also said the commission has the intention of monitoring how the 2016 budget will be spent.
